One of a kind! This necklace is made from an arrangement of individual gemstone, glass and wooden beads. There are also a few spikes that I created from porcelain and rakú fired with horsehair. Often times when I’m making a piece I won’t use every bead from a strand I’ve selected. Or a bead will go missing and turn up later after I’ve completed my project. These beads get collected over the years and eventually end up in one of a my “Remnants” pieces. This necklace has no pattern. The beads are chosen at random from my collection of leftovers and strung and knotted on waxed linen cord. The clasp is a rakú-fired porcelain bead with Japanese Delica beaded loop.

African pink opal, agate, turquoise, vintage sand-cast glass, bone, smokey quartz, rock crystal, amethyst, jadeite, lava, onyx, amazonite, dalmation jasper, and probably a few more that I missed!
